Reliance Jio has announced its Disney+ Hotstar offer just days after teasing it on social media and MyJio app. The telecom operating is giving one-year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar VIP to all prepaid users who recharge their account with Rs. 401 plan, Rs. 2,599 plan, Rs. 612 data voucher, or Rs. 1208 data voucher. Notably, the Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription on its own cost Rs. 399 right now, so essentially, you are getting it for free on any of these plans as the free subscription is offered over the usual plan specific benefits.
Jio detailed the offer on social media earlier today. The telecom operator was teasing the launch of Disney+ Hotstar offer for days and it has generated a lot of interest among its subscribers. It isn't, however, the first telecom operator to bring such an offer as in April, Airtel had introduced an erringly similar offer that bundled free one-year of Disney+ Hotstar VIP on Rs. 401 recharge plan. Jio's offer comes as a counter to Airtel.
In comparison, Airtel is only offering 3GB of total data and the free annual Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription worth Rs. 399. Notably, there is no unlimited calls or additional benefits on the prepaid recharge plan.
While Airtel has only one such plan on offer, Jio brings the free Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription offer to an annual recharge plan as well. The new Rs. 2,599 prepaid plan brings 2GB data per day for a validity of 365 days. The company also provides an additional 10GB of high-speed data bringing the total to a whopping 740GB.
WHAT IS JIO-DISNEY HOTSTAR PARTNERSHIP ?
Jio customers can opt for the Rs 401 monthly plan to avail the One Year subscription of Disney+Hotstar VIP worth Rs 399. In addition to access to Jio apps, the Rs 401 plan offers 90Gb of 4G data and unlimited voice-calling.Further, Jio users may opt for the Rs 2599 annual plan which offers 740GB of 4G data and unlimited voice-calling. Additionally, add-on vouchers of Rs 612 and Rs 1208, also entitle Jio prepaid users to free subscriptions of Disney+Hostar.
The partnership hopes to provide huge benefits to both Jio and Disney+Hotstar users.
In April, Disney+ content official arrived on the Hotstar platform. The VIP subscription pack costs Rs 399 per year. In contrast, the Disney+Hotstar Premium subscription stands at Rs 1499/year.
