Instead, the Pokemon Go Grass Type event, known as the Worldwide bloom, will arrive on Friday, May 5, lasting only for a short time.
Starting the afternoon of May 5, the Worldwide bloom will run until May 8, 2017, and will likely include some great bonuses for Trainers.
The new Pokemon Go update news was announced by Niantic today, giving fans 24hrs to get ready for the new event.
“Professor Willow's research into Pokemon habitats around the world has uncovered some interesting findings,” Niantic teases.
“His initial reports indicate that we’ll see an influx of Grass-type Pokemon sometime this weekend.
“Help us contribute to Professor Willow’s ongoing research by catching as many Grass-type Pokémon as possible this weekend.
“While you’re out with friends and family, don’t forget to document your findings using the Pokémon GO AR camera and share your screenshots on social media using #PokemonGO.”
There are no new Pokemon Go bonuses confirmed for the event as of this time, however, more could be revealed tomorrow, following the launch of the new Grass Type festival.
